Hey! I’m Robyn.
World’s most enthusiastic wedding guest turned wedding celebrant.
Being a guest at a wedding is such a privilege, so I’ve always treated it as one. I cheer the loudest, cry at all the speeches, chat to every auntie and cousin, and spend as much time on the dance floor as possible. I’m a true wedding enthusiast.
For me, a year without weddings is a travesty, so I thought to myself; how could I make being a wedding enthusiast a job…?
I’ve always been told I have a way with words (often making my besties cry reading their birthday cards) and spent many years in communications roles, using creative writing and storytelling to connect with people. I also have a background in theatre, which means I’ve never been phased in front of a crowd, and have been blessed with the role of MC many times at work and at weddings.
Given those skills, celebrancy felt like such a natural fit. And as soon as I wrote my first script, I knew I was onto a winner. Honestly chef’s kiss.
I’m now an independent celebrant certified with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, and I’d absolutely love to tell your story in a way that feels utterly and uniquely you.
I bloody love a good wedding.
Me in the wild
A bit more about me, outside of my role as wedding hype woman.
‘Glass half full’ is usually the way I describe myself. Life is too short and beautiful not to be. I’m an eternal optimist and bring a warm, zingy energy to everything I do.
I’m a London girlie through and through. I’ve lived here for 10 years and the only way I’ll leave is being dragged kicking and screaming.
Inclusivity is incredibly important to me. I’m queer, an active trans ally, and passionate about making sure that everyone feels amazing at an event.
I’m happiest in the sun, so anytime there’s an opportunity to travel, it’s a yes. Destination weddings, I’m looking at you…
Music is one of my big loves. I sing in a choir, I spend my summers at festivals, and I’m trying to learn the guitar. Don’t ask how it’s going.
On an average weekend you’ll find me at whatever fitness class I’m obsessed with at the time, often followed swiftly by a trip to one of south east London’s many glorious pubs. Or maybe a pootle around Hackney on my bike (Pam), trying to balance a lil flat white on the handlebars.
Other loves include long voice notes, nights at the theatre, jacket potatoes, a juicy yoga class, vinho verde, poetry, open mic nights, tiny tattoos, anything pickled, and general whimsy. We all need more of that! Pls and thank you!
